MemberPass Subscription Plans
Overview
MemberPass offers a flexible range of subscription plans designed to scale with your business—from pay-as-you-go options to custom, enterprise-ready solutions. Select the plan that best aligns with your business goals. Crucially, all subscription plans include uncapped revenue and unlimited sales, ensuring no limits on the revenue you can generate.
Key Features & Limits
Below is a breakdown of the key features and limitations associated with MemberPass plans. All plans support an unlimited number of recurring subscribers.
- Number of Bot Projects: The maximum number of simultaneous bot projects you can manage. Projects can be across different platforms. See Managing Projects.
- Number of Lifetime Memberships: The total allowable number of lifetime non-recurring memberships you can sell over the lifespan of your account. This limit is shared across all projects. See Managing Subscription Plans.
Note
A "lifetime paid membership" refers to a one-time purchase with "Lifetime" validity, granting permanent access without recurring billing.
- Number of Access Codes: The quantity of free access codes allocated per billing cycle. See Managing Access Codes.
Note
MemberPass does not charge transaction fees for the use of free access codes. However, exceeding your plan's allocation before the renewal date will incur standard transaction fees. Access codes are single-use only.
- Custom Public Portal Handles: Determines availability of custom handles for your project's Public Portal—a dedicated, MemberPass-hosted mini-app for your users. See Public Portal Settings.
- Message Broadcasting: Grants access to broadcast announcements or messages to your user base. You can target specific segments, such as active or past customers. See Message Broadcasting.
- White-Label Branding: Determines if "Powered by MemberPass" branding appears on your bot. Fully white-labelled bots function seamlessly as an in-house solution without external branding.
- Transaction Fees: The percentage fee charged by MemberPass on transactions processed through your projects. See Transaction Fees.
- Referral Program: Access to the referral system, allowing you to incentivize growth through your existing user base. Manage commissions, rewards, and payouts efficiently. See Referral Program.
Subscribing to a Plan
To start a subscription:
- Review the features and limits of available plans.
- Select the desired plan by clicking "Subscribe to [Plan Name]".
- Complete the initial payment via our secure payment processor.
Upon successful payment, you will be redirected to the MemberPass dashboard, where you can view your subscription status and Usage Billing.
Transaction Fees
Transaction fees are usage-based charges applied to your bill based on your incoming payment volume and your plan's fee percentage. This is separate from your base subscription fee.
Example Calculation: Assume a monthly plan with a 10% transaction fee, and the following project sales:
- Gold Plan ($20): $20 * 10% = $2.00 fee
- Silver Plan ($10): $10 * 10% = $1.00 fee
- Bronze Plan ($5): $5 * 10% = $0.50 fee
These fees accumulate and are charged at the next billing cycle (or upon reaching the threshold).
Currency Conversion
MemberPass charges in USD. If your project accepts payments in other currencies, transaction fees will be converted to USD for billing.
Billing Methods
Billing methodology depends on your payment setup:
- Stripe Only (Direct Charge): If using Stripe exclusively with Direct Charge, fees are deducted automatically from incoming payments in real-time. No separate invoice is generated at the end of the cycle.
- Other Methods (or Mixed): For other payment methods (or a mix including Stripe), transaction fees accumulate and are charged to your payment method on file at the end of the billing period, or when the Usage Billing Threshold is reached.
Note
Transaction fees do not apply to test payments or free access code usage.
Usage Billing Thresholds
To manage risk and billing stability, MemberPass employs a Usage Billing Threshold. If your accumulated transaction fees exceed this limit before your scheduled renewal date, an invoice is generated, and the amount is charged immediately. The counter then resets.
Example: If your threshold is $25 and your accrued fees reach $25 mid-month, you will be charged $25 immediately. The cycle repeats if the limit is reached again.
Managing Your Subscription
Changing Payment Methods
Update your payment method anytime via the billing portal. Navigate to Plans & Billing > Go to Billing Portal.
Important
You cannot remove your only active payment method without cancelling your subscription.
Upgrading or Downgrading
You can switch plans at any time. Adjustments are subject to proration rates determined by our payment processor.
Downgrade Restrictions
You cannot downgrade to a plan with lower limits than your current usage. For example, if you have 4 active projects, you cannot downgrade to a plan allowing only 3 without first deleting a project.
New transaction fee rates apply immediately upon switching. Previous transactions are not recalculated.
Cancelling Your Subscription
Cancel anytime via Plans & Billing > Cancel. Access remains active until the subscription expiry date. No further renewals will occur.
Resuming a Subscription
A cancelled subscription can be resumed before its expiry date via Plans & Billing > Resume.
Warning
Once a subscription has naturally expired, it cannot be resumed. See Account Suspension for details on expired accounts.
Billing Policies
Grace Periods & Overdue Payments
MemberPass provides a 7-day grace period for failed renewals. We will attempt to process the payment up to 8 times. During this period, your account remains fully operational.
Warning
Failure to settle overdue payments within the grace period will result in account suspension.
Refunds
MemberPass does not offer refunds. We provide free tiers to allow comprehensive testing of our platform's core functionality and value prior to purchase. Transaction fees represent a service cost for processed transactions and are non-refundable.
Account Suspension
If an account is suspended:
- Projects and membership bots are deactivated.
- Active customer subscriptions are cancelled (users will be removed from channels/groups upon natural expiry).
- Exception: Lifetime memberships remain active and users are not removed.
Critical Warning
Do not revoke payment authorization to force a cancellation. If MemberPass cannot charge your account but still has active customer subscriptions, those customers may continue to be charged by your payment provider, but MemberPass effectively cannot renew their access. This builds up liability and may lead to disputes and chargebacks against you. Always cancel customer subscriptions manually before abandoning an account.
Suspended accounts are retained in an inactive state for 13 months, after which they are permanently deleted. Accounts can be reactivated by purchasing a plan that supports the current resource usage.
Tip
Customer subscriptions cancelled due to suspension cannot be automatically resumed by MemberPass. You may need to manually re-onboard affected users.
