Razorpay
Connect Razorpay to accept UPI, netbanking, Indian cards, and 80+ currencies from subscribers — primarily in India.
Razorpay is India's leading payment gateway, supporting UPI, netbanking, cards, wallets (Paytm, PhonePe, etc.), and over 80 international currencies for cross-border sales.

What you'll need
- A verified Razorpay merchant account (KYC completed).
- Your Key ID (starts with
rzp_test_orrzp_live_). - Your Key Secret (shown once, then hidden).
Setup
Generate API keys in Razorpay.
- Sign in to your Razorpay Dashboard.
- Go to Settings → API Keys.
- Click Generate API Keys (or Regenerate Live / Test Keys if you already have them).
Copy credentials immediately.
Razorpay shows the Key ID (e.g. rzp_live_abc123…) and the Key Secret only once.
The Key Secret is only displayed at generation time. If you close the dialog without copying, you'll need to regenerate — which invalidates the previous secret and may disrupt existing integrations.
Add Razorpay in MemberPass.
- Go to Payment Methods → Setup a Payment Method.
- Pick Razorpay.
- Select Live or Test to match your keys.
Enter credentials.
- Key ID —
rzp_live_…orrzp_test_…. MemberPass validates the prefix matches the mode. - Key Secret — the paired secret.
Sync your subscription plans.
On the Payment Methods list, open Razorpay's options menu and click Sync Subscription Plans. MemberPass pushes each of your active plans to Razorpay so they can be used for recurring billing.
The subscriber experience
- Subscriber picks Razorpay at checkout.
- Redirected to Razorpay's India-focused checkout.
- Picks from UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM), netbanking (most Indian banks), credit/debit card, or wallets.
- Authorizes the charge — UPI typically with a push notification to the bank app; cards with OTP or 3D Secure.
- Returns to MemberPass on success.
For recurring plans, Razorpay handles the auto-debit mandate (e-Mandate for Indian cards, UPI AutoPay, or standing instructions) — once set up, future cycles charge automatically.
